If she hadn’t decided on a career in advertising, Melanie (or ‘Mel’ as she is affectionately known by by clients and colleagues alike) would have most likely become a Bond Girl (as in 007, license to kill and all that). Little wonder with her razor sharp reflexes ( iChat speed-type champion two years running), keen intellect and unerring sense of what’s needed to help Ci clients achieve their (marketing) mission objectives.

A skill-set honed by years of extensive experience on both sides of the agency/client equation in industries ranging from travel to utilities to post-secondary education and even not-for-profit. Her killer credentials (that Bond Girl thing again) – include stints at such heavyweights as TBWA/Chiat, UNIGLOBE Travel, OmniLogic Canada and Tripeze.com – and her ability to critically analyze and disseminate the key elements of a marketing issue make her an invaluable part Ci’s strategic planning capability.

Add to that a coaching and leadership style that would make her the envy of HR Directors anywhere and you’ve got (or, more correctly WE’VE got) the consumate communications and advertising Uber achiever. In her quieter moments, (believe it or not, she does have them) ‘Mel’ grows a mean garden, designs custom jewelry and has recently discovered the joys of sending a small white ball into low-earth orbit with the help of some very handy metal sticks.
