Ci’s other founding partner, Barry has parlayed an Alberta College of Art Visual Communications education into a career spanning not only the decades since 1981, but also the hemisphere (if not always in the physical, then most certainly in the ‘virtual’ sense). A self confessed ‘techno-weenie’, Barry has combined the twin forces of integrated brand strategy planning and online-connectivity to create some of the most measurable sales-promotions as well as the most accessible internal-culture programs for clients ranging from WestJet to Mac’s Convenience stores.
Never one to rest on his laurels (in fact, his laurels have had so little wear, he recently auctioned them off as ‘new’ on e-bay), Barry is the tireless leader of Ci’s own cultural charge. Continually looking for ways to extend the Ci brand in the service of both our clients enterprises as well as our own. His work on the advisory boards of both SAIT and Calgary Technologies points his wide ranging interest in new ways to apply communications technology as well furthering our clients’ understanding of how technology continues to reshape every aspect of marketing and brand building.
And, as if that weren’t enough, Barry’s snow-white-with-red-leather-interior T-Bird can often be spotted parked among the landau carriages of those on both ends of the political spectrum as he selflessly braves the rubber chicken circuit attending various civic and provincial fundraising and charitable events.
